Project:
SERRIALU, established in Vila Nova de Poiares, was founded in 1997. It is certified by IPAC for the manufacture, assembly and technical assistance of Window frames, metal structures and civil locksmithery ( aluminum, stainless steel and iron), as well as in the marketing, assembly and technical assistance of Automatismos. Since 2010 it has the Quality Management System certified by ISO 9001. It is an SME Leader, having been distinguished with the SME Excellence Statute 2011.
Objectives:
The main objective of this project is to design frames that can incorporate mechanisms for automatic opening as well as automated shading device, and the activation of the systems can be guaranteed through photovoltaic self-powered systems if their technical feasibility is demonstrated.
The framework to be developed should ensure a high energy performance as well as comply with all other functional requirements laid down in the specific standards. The system can still be designed based on the requirements set by the 'Passive House' standard - internationally recognized as the most demanding in terms of energy performance of buildings.

For its development, Serrialu needs to resort to specialized consulting, being that, in addition to competencies in the area in question, the entity should have laboratory capacity for testing.

SERRIALU is an SME located in Coimbra that produces, markets and installs solutions for aluminum frames and iron locks. With an experience of almost five years of activity in the French market under the brand ALUEUROPE, the company intends to increase its presence and results in this market as well as in other European markets and national market, having as a need to increase its client portfolio and increase the european markets.
The objectives of the internationalization plan are:
- To consolidate its presence in the French market;
- Increase the sales network;
- Disseminate the know-how accumulated in the French market to the remaining francophone markets
- Increase the awareness of the ALUEUROPE brand as a benchmark in aluminum frames;
- Increase turnover through the acquisition of final clients and professionals;
- Increase representation of new markets in export turnover.
Activities:
- Development of the concept of franchising;
- Franchising fair and national and regional fairs of target markets;
- Market studies and marketing campaigns;
- Advertising on Fairs and Outdoors;
- Product certifications;
- E-commerce and internet;

With almost five years of experience in the French market, the company intends to increase its presence and results in this market as well as in other European markets and national market, with the need to increase and improve its productive capacity.
Objectives:
- Improve the quality standards in the finishing of the window frames, according to the norms and certifications of each market;
- Reduce the reworking due to production errors, which result in high costs when they happen in external customers;
- Achieve levels of planning that improve capacity and delivery times;
- Improve productive organization in order to reduce stockouts, production errors and increase the produtive capicity
- Improve production capacity with the use of automation technologies, in order to reduce production errors in the initial phase of the production process;
- Improve the capacity and skills of employees in the finishing areas, in order to reduce customer complaints;
- Improve customer communication and customer acquisition technologies.
Activities:
The adoption of new techniques and production equipment with the acquisition of a machining center that various operations of the manufacturing process of a frame, which includes:
- Automatic feeding of profiles;
- Automation of cutting and drilling of profiles;
- Machinery and equipment for handling and assembling glass and finished product;
- Adaptation works in the production area for equipment installation ;
- Adoption of technologies to support professional clients and budgeting.

SERRIALU is an SME located in Coimbra that produces, markets and installs solutions for aluminum frames and iron locks. Analyzed the evolution of SERRIALU in recent years and taking into account its setting in a dynamic and constantly developing sector, the management of the company felt the need to carry out an evaluation of the current strategic position of the organization and look for solutions that allow a continuous and sustained growth in the medium / long term.
Objectives:
Acquire a strategic management consulting service that allows to make a diagnosis of the current position of SERRIALU, formulate and plan new development strategies based on this same diagnosis and support the implementation of the strategy however defined. This support aims to provide SERRIALU with management tools that are sufficiently innovative and sophisticated to develop more advanced business strategies.
Activities:
The project was developed over three phases, namely:
Phase 1:
Elaboration of a strategic diagnosis where the resources and capabilities of the company were identified and evaluated and its framework in the market and in the sector.
Phase 2:
Organizational development that allow them to make decisions oriented towards value creation. In this process, a strategic development plan was developed based on new organizational methods that allow the company to innovate in its business model and to strengthen the strategic thinking of the organization.
Phase 3:
Monitoring of the implementation and evaluation of the strategic actions defined through superior tactical and operational execution.
